Red Cross doctors treating a newborn baby in Haiti

A three-month-old survivor of the Haiti earthquake is awaiting life-saving treatment in a London children's hospital.
Ladina Seignon was a patient in a Haitian hospital even before the devastating earthquake hit the country.
The baby girl, whose mother is thought to have died in the disaster, was due to have a bone removed in her skull following a previous incident which left her with severe burns to the head.

Dartmoor: 30km trek challenge
An all-woman team is taking part in the Shelterbox Dartmoor challenge this year, thanks to the development group Evolution.
The 30-kilometre mile trek across Dartmoor is on September 11/12. It includes five teams entered by Evolution, one of which is for women only.
The idea is to to give women the chance to join in if they do not feel comfortable in a mixed group.

Singer James Morrison has finished recording his lyrics for the popular REM song “Everybody hurts” to raise funds for the relief effort in Haiti.
Morrison who lived in Porth, Newquay for much of his childhood was hand selected by Simon Cowell to add his vocals.
Recording of the song was organised by music millionaire Simon Cowell after British Prime Minister Gordon Brown put him in charge of the project. Cowell has pulled out all the stops to try and make the song the best selling aid song of all time.
