A United Nations report has revealed millions of people world wide have no access to safe drinking water.
The new GLAAS Report, which is published by UN Water and the World Health Organization, found funding for the provision of water services in poor countries has fallen by nearly 40 per cent in the past decade.
It says 900 million people have no access to clean water while 2.6 billion people do not have adequate sanitation.

New strategy in Afghanistan

Afghanistan's future will be defined at a summit in London starting tomorrow. This comes at a time when the US and its allies are rethinking their approach in the war with the Taliban.
Ministers from nations supporting the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) will meet with United Nations officials and other world leaders in the hopes of defining a new cohesive strategy.

Celebs who use drugs should not get soft treatment the United Nations has said.
The soft approach to celebrity drug use gives young people the wrong message.
President of the International Narcotics Board (INCB), Philip Emafo warned illegal drug taking by famous people glamorises drug abuse.
The INCB annual report highlights that many governments target street dealers. The report calls for organised criminal gangs to be tackled.
