Cornish Pirates management have informed players that those who remain at the club next season will be forced to take a pay cut.
The moves are designed to help ease the clubs financial worries.
The announcement comes just a month after a public meeting was held by the Pirates to discuss ways to compensate for a projected £650,000 budgeting shortfall.
Owner Dicky Evans revealed the plans to cut players wages in a press statement to explain the sacking of head coach Mark Hewitt.
