Dressing up for an adventure

Antony House at Torpoint in Cornwall is opening its doors free this Saturday to Alices, Alistairs and anybody dressed as a character from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
It is in celebration of the cinema release on Friday of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, filmed at Antony in 2008.
The house, garden and estate in South East Cornwall are being transformed to scenes from the fantasy story.
Visitors can enter an oversized garden through the rabbit hole, be enchanted by a larger than life caterpillar, a clock or even Alice herself.
They can follow the butterfly trail, then look out for the giant chessboard and play a game of chess.
For people who can’t make it to Antony House, similar celebrations are taking place at Glendurgan Garden, near Falmouth and Trerice, near Newquay.
