The discovery that hens have feelings could affect the future of commercial chicken farming in the UK. But not all farmers agree that it would actually make a difference.

Researchers at Bristol University believe that chickens kept in intensive and overcrowded conditions know when other birds are distressed.

Lucy Bickerton reports.
